From Iceland — Nature Pass Will Be Expensive Undertaking

Nature Pass Will Be Expensive Undertaking

Published March 14, 2014

The cost of establishing the Nature Pass is expected to be high, reports RÚV.

In an interview earlier this week, Minister of Industry and Commerce Ragnheiður Elín Árnadóttir confirmed that the Nature Pass will take effect as of January next year.

The bill for the Nature Pass specifies that police will be responsible for monitoring that tourists and Icelanders have a nature pass while visiting Icelandic nature sites.

It also stipulates that 95% of the sales will be directed to the development and maintenance of tourists attractions.
