The results are in, and of all TV Land’s best and brightest, one location stood out as the favourite of Radio Times readers: Iceland.
Whilst the poll featured such heavy contenders as Mad Men, Doc Martin and I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here, these shows were not judged on their cast nor their writing. Instead, readers selected which shows offered the best settings.
Coming out on top, thanks to Game Of Thrones, was none other than Iceland, with the Radio Times saying the country “brings active glaciers and blizzards to the drama, and is the backdrop for many of the scenes featuring Kit Harington’s Jon Snow (the bastard son of Eddard Stark).”
For those readers interested in bringing Game Of Thrones scenes to life, the Radio Times recommends visiting Höfðabrekkuheiði and Skaftafell National Park.
