From Iceland — Tommi's Burger Joint Importing Icelandic Ice-Cream

Tommi’s Burger Joint Importing Icelandic Ice-Cream

Published October 13, 2013

Icelandic ice-cream is now available in London, at Tommi’s Burger Joint, the UK branch of Hamborgarabúllan.
Tommi’s Burger Joint opened in 2012 and offers the same gourmet burgers as the joint at Reykjavík Harbour.
However, when the owners wanted to add Búllan’s famous milk shakes to the menu, they found that the ice-cream on offer in London wasn’t good enough, Mbl.is reports.
So they decided to import ice-cream compound from Icelandic ice-cream maker Kjörís and now the Joint’s milkshakes are also total success.
This is the first time ice-cream from Kjörís is sold outside Iceland and with promising first impression, the company now considers further export.
Tommi’s Burger Joint is located in Marylebone and in the Boxpark pop-up mall in Shoreditch and Búllan has plans of opening the next joint in Berlin, Germany.
