From Iceland — Lied About Collaboration With Adam Sandler

Lied About Collaboration With Adam Sandler

Published June 12, 2013

An Icelandic script writer forged contracts and lied to entrepreneurs who financed his writing a script for Adam Sandler’s production company. Which he wasn’t doing, DV reports.
Gestur Valur Svansson made the news in January, when he claimed he had sold his first film script to Hollywood. He provided contracts from the production company Happy Madison and said he’d been in personal contact with Adam Sandler for the past three years.
The working title of the film was The Last Orgasm.
But when DV contacted Heather Parry, producer at Happy Madison, she had never heard of the matter and after some enquiries over at her end, Parry told DV the company was not collaborating with Gestur Valur.
One of the fooled entrepreneurs told DV that Gestur had only borrowed a few hundred thousand kronas and that they were now looking into whether to sue him.
