Search Continues For Missing Woman

The search continues for 47-year old Anna Kristín Ólafsdóttir who went missing last Thursday night, Vísir reports.
The extensive search began on Friday at 11:00 when the Iceland Search & Rescue team were called out. Search teams have numbered up to 150 people per day, including the Police Department, the Fire Department, and the Icelandic Coast Guard using boats, helicopters, submarine and hiking to locate the missing woman. The search focused mainly around the Western coast of Reykjavík, Seltjarnanes and Álftanes, according to RÚV.
Head of the search effort Jónas Guðmundsson says the situation is uncertain and that they will be re-evaluating their operations today.
Anna Kristín was last seen at 20:00 on Thursday in the Vesturbær neighbourhood of Reykjavík. She was wearing a suede jacket, jeans, black boots and a grey purse. People with information are asked to contact the police at (+354) 444-1000.
