Series Of Earthquakes Hit Grimséy

Residents of Grimséy, an island off the north coast of Iceland, awoke to a series of sizeable earthquakes, RÚV reports.
Several residents of the island have reported being woken from their sleep by sharp and loud shaking of their homes, though no damage was reported. The tremors could be felt in Akureyri, as well.
According to the Icelandic Met office, the quakes measured 5.4 and 5.3 on the Richter scale and hit the island seven seconds apart just before 1AM this morning.
