From Iceland — RIFF Opens With Sigur Rós Film ‘Inni’

RIFF Opens With Sigur Rós Film ‘Inni’

Published September 15, 2011

Sigur Rós’ film ‘Inni’ will kick off this year’s Reykjavík International Film Festival, which takes over theatres in Reykjavík from September 22 to October 2.
‘Inni’ is Sigur Rós’ second film after Heima. It was primarily filmed at two Sigur Rós concerts from November 2008 held at London’s Alexandra Palace, but includes material from as early as 1998, a press release states.
The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival last week, and has not been shown elsewhere. Tickets to this opening feature shown on September 22 at NASA at 22:00 are sold separately from festival passes. See for more information.
