From Iceland — More Artists To Perform At Airwaves Announced

More Artists To Perform At Airwaves Announced

Published August 3, 2011

Organisers of the Iceland Airwaves music festival have announced more confirmed acts. Also, ticket sales this year have exceeded expectations.
Ten new artists have been added to the roster, a statement from the organisers says. These acts are Rich Aucoin and Random Recipe (Canada), Benjamin Francis Leftwich (UK), Active Child (USA), and Iiris (Estonia). On the domestic front, Icelandic hard rock legend HAM will perform, as well as Lára Rúnars, Sudden Weather Change, Prinspóló and Cliff Clavin
Organisers were also proud to announce that ticket sales have been going quite well. So much so, in fact, that only about 1,000 tickets are left. 50% more attendees this year opted to buy package deals – tickets for all five days of the festival which include airfare and hotel accommodation.
If you live in Iceland – or plan to be living here over the period of the festival – you may opt to buy regular tickets for the festival. If you’re coming from abroad, buying a package deal will save you a considerable amount of money. Either way, the time to buy your tickets is now – the remaining 1,000 are expected to sell out fast.
