From Iceland — Fox News Warns Against Travel to Iceland

Fox News Warns Against Travel to Iceland

Published March 17, 2009

FOX News has warned its viewers to be wary of travelling to Iceland.
During a television spot called “Warning Signs”, Erik Torkells, the tripadvisor.com editor, gave Fox News his opinions on different travel destinations. After expressing worry about the border area of Mexico, India (because of the Mumbai attacks) and then Greece (in particular, Athens, where student protests have been ongoing), the conversation moved to Iceland.
“Iceland’s normally a travel destination that no one would ever have second thoughts about visiting” said Torkells, adding that when protests began last January, they began to have second thoughts, as “that many people in the streets, very, very angry” is usually cause for concern.
The Fox News anchor then added, “Single guys, there’s a lot of hot women, all broke. So you might have a shot.” Proving that Fox News is as classy as it is journalistically accurate.
