Regulars on the Reykjavík music scene will be more than familiar with “Kansas-bred art boy” and self-proclaimed psychedelic-party-pop artist Jae Tyler.
A long-time Iceland-dweller who’s married to Icelandic musician Mr. Silla, Jae is now located in Berlin, where he continues to release and perform his interestingly wonky take on alt-pop. Now releasing via the Street Pulse label, his new material sounds like a bold step forward. We’re pleased to premiere the video for new single “Famous,” released today.
Iceland-based readers can see Jae Tyler play a few shows this summer. On July 12th, he’ll perform at downtown experimental music haven Mengi; on July 5th he’ll play at the Havarí Festival in Berufjördur with Mr. Silla and Prins Póló.
