Flying Cars: The Monster Off-Roaders Are Back In The Air

Invented in Iceland in the 1960s, Formula Off Road is considered to be one of the most extreme forms of 4×4 off-road racing.

It all started out with local rescue teams showing off their vehicles in action and quickly developed into a national sport with its own championship and a growing fanbase. The participants go beyond their limits to provide a unique show, from driving up almost vertical hills to breaking through the marshes and rivers.

The first round of the championship was held on the 12th of May near the small southern town of Hella and there are 5 more rounds planned for the summer months. They will happen in different locations all over the country.
