A Wizz Air flight bound for Keflavík that was grounded in Egilsstaðir due to bad weather offered three options to stranded passengers: a flight back to Poland, a bus to Keflavík, or to leave the plane and fend for themselves. The catch was that anyone choosing opting for Option 3 would not be entitled to payment for restitution. Passengers were understandably not happy.

There was a brief E. coli scare in the Borgarnes, Bífröst and Varmaland area, as residents were advised to boil their drinking water. The advisory was called off some days later, as it was determined the water was safe after all. Whew!
