Upon a glance at dictionary.com’s definition of the word boring, this came up: “refer(s) to what is so uninteresting as to cause mental weariness. Boring implies feelings of listlessness and discontent.” However, the condition described therein seems exhilarating and fascinating compared to what it was like to listen to this album. Boredom is a state I found myself longing to achieve after it was finished. It’s not even interesting enough to be called contrived, or even bad; music fitting that description generally causes one to shake one’s head in wonder and leaves a light stain on one’s soul. But this, this just leaves you with an odd feeling of hollow nothingness, and an odd, numbing form of depression once one realises the countless hours poured into making it. However, as we all know, boredom is as boredom does, meaning that if boredom is your thing, then go on and bring on the boredom, ‘cause no boredom you can concoct in your wildest dreams can match this
