Four years ago, singer Amy Winehouse tragically died at only 27 years old. Having just won five Grammy awards for her second album, the beehived starlet was at the height of a promising and prolific career. In honour of Winehouse’s contributions to not only pop, but soul, reggae, jazz, and hip-hop, singer Anna Sóley and others will get ‘Back to Black’ at Gaukurinn. Performing classics like “Rehab”, “You Know I’m No Good”, and “Tears Dry On Their Own”, the band includes not only guitars but also trumpets and saxophones. Turn off Spotify and head over to Gaukurinn to hear your favourites live.
The concert starts at 22:00 at Gaukurinn, see the full listing here. Tickets are 1,500 ISK, or 1,000 ISK for students.
