Sandra Kolstad Unveils Iceland-Inspired Video

Published January 26, 2015

Berlin-based Norwegian pop artist Sandra Kolstad has released a very fancy video for her new single My Yellow Heart, shot late last year right here in Iceland.

It shows Sandra galloping and running across what looks like Heiðmörk and Solheimasandur, with avalanches, eruptions, rising sparks and all kinds of cinematic trickery thrown in for good measure.

Says Sandra, of the shoot: “It was my first time in Iceland, and I was very excited about being there. It’s like another planet, which was so perfect for the feeling we wanted to create in the video. My Yellow Heart is my personal favorite song from the album. It’s one of my favorite songs to play live: people tend to dance and get something special in their eyes when we play it.”

The resulting video has been picked up widely – read Sandra’s production diary here, and read a first-hand account of the filming process via Flood Magazine here.

The track is from the album Zero Gravity State Of Mind, out on March 3rd via Red Eye Transit.
