Lots of students go to summer school to take another shot at calculus or get some extra credits in. But instead of learning about integrals and asymptotes, the main lessons covered at this school are solidarity and empowerment. No SparkNotes necessary. This free and volunteer-run school for university-level students includes a series of lectures that cover topics including radicalising food systems, urban growth, trans rights and feminism, and ends with a party. So leave calc for another day—it’s time to kick the kyriarchy in the asymptote!

Radical Summer School is free! It starts today, August 10, and runs through August 16–from 13:00 to 22:00. Located at Múltí Kúltí, Barónstígur 3, 101 Reykjavík. See the schedule below:
