Ditch Game Of Thrones for a modern crime story

The third production of the one-man show “Barry And His Guitar” has arrived in Reykjavík. After a successful year in London the show will launch in Iceland at Mengi tonight, January 2.

The production charts the unfortunate tale of a young musician, Barry, whose life turns upside down when he gets involved in criminal affairs that unfold in front of him. The lively performance is topped off with music, crime, romance and comedy, all in one. What more could we ask for to shake us up for a fresh start on a new year?

Iceland’s theatre scene has lately been thriving with new independent theatre shows and workshops, doing justice to the nation’s up-and-coming actors and theatre folks. However, language is an obstacle for many – it’s not often we get a chance to see the shows in English,.

This is a one-off performance, beginning at 21:00, and with 2,000 ISK cover charge, paid at the door.
