Last night, sitcom actor Charlie Sheen announced his marriage on Twitter, RÚV reports. In the tweet Sheen posted a photograph of himself and his girlfriend in front of Höfði in Reykjavík.
Höfði is best known as the location for the 1986 Reykjavík Summit meeting of presidents Reagan and Gorbachev which contributed to the end of the cold war.
As it happens, Reagan and Gorbachev received an honorary mention in the marital announcement which was as follows :”this is the house ware M Gorbachev R Reagan did some epic. it’s also where S and I GOT MARRIED!c #RumorMilUhPede”
Fans of the actor on Twitter have asked politely if this statement is true but he is yet to confirm one way or the other.
UPDATE
Charlie Sheen’s representation has confirmed he did not get married in Iceland this weekend.
