From Iceland — Valdís Editing Ryan Gosling's Film

Valdís Editing Ryan Gosling’s Film

Published July 3, 2013

Ryan Gosling’s first directing project, ‘How to Catch a Monster’ is being edited by Icelander Valdís Óskarsdóttir. Gosling arrived in Iceland this morning to meet up with Valdís and see how her work is coming along, according to RÚV.

The film, starring Christina Hendricks, Saoirse Ronan and Gosling’s girlfriend Eva Mendez, will premier in 2014. It’s a fantasy-neo-noir film, also written and produced by Gosling. Valdís is a renowned film editor who’s worked on films such as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Finding Forrester and award-winning Danish film, Submarino.

She has also directed two Icelandic films, Country Wedding and King’s Road.

So, apparently it’s all work and no play for Ryan Gosling in Iceland this time, hopefully he’ll still manage to squeeze in some of the sights during his stay.
