Published August 8, 2016

In the last week Iceland was blessed with lots of sunshine, extravaganza and colourful Pride people and of course, adventurous tourists exploring wonders of nature. This all gave a lot of inspiration to the participants of our Instagram competition.

Check out the winner and runners-up and remember to keep tagging your pictures with #gvpics for a chance at becoming next week’s champion!

This dog should definitely consider modelling career.

As they say – a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at the office!

Fresh fish, anyone? They used to call it "the capital of herring", "the greatest of fishing towns of the North Atlantic", "the pride of Iceland". But the wheel of fortune has turned and only the small catch is brought daily to the Siglufjörður harbour. More on this can be found @travel_ingoodcompany where the coverage of our road trip continues. / Czy ma ktoś ochotę na świeżą rybę? Kiedyś nazywano to miasto "stolicą śledzia", "największym z rybackich portów północnego Atlantyku", "dumą Islandii". Dziś odwróciły się losy Siglufjörður, a rybacy mogą liczyć jedynie na skromny połów. Więcej na ten temat znajdziecie na naszym głównym IG, gdzie nadal trwa relacja z islandzkiej podróży. #iceland #visiticeland #iloveiceland #discovericeland #exploreiceland #alliceland #everydayiceland #igersiceland #ig_iceland #icelandtravel #islandia #igscandinavia #gvpics #roadtrip #icelandroadtrip #travelboost #travelgram #prostozpodrozy #northiceland #siglufjörður #harbour #fishingtown #fishingharbour #fisherman #northatlantic

The very moment when the geyser is about to erupt.

Ice Ice Baby!

Þórsmörk strikes everyone with its beautiful nature and stunning landscape. Stairway to heaven.

There is no elevator to success on the Þórsmörk trail, only stairs! ?☀️ ?: @marcushoey @trekiceland

And the dialogue was like:

A: “Oh, look! An unicorn!”
B: “Hmm. Okay. I didn’t know that they were living in Iceland. Are they getting along with puffins?”

Spotted a rare #glitter #unicorn galloping down the street at #reykjavikpride showing its #rainbow butt with #pride ?

OMG! I want those blueberries. I NEED THOSE BLUEBERRIES. GIMME!

I would guess that the water was colder than a polar bear’s kiss.

Moby-Dick is wagging his tale!

Picnic in Mordor.

And the winner is…Excitement grows…And grows…Okay, nothing can beat the unicorn. Be yourself. Unless you can be a unicorn. In that case, you should always be a unicorn. Congrats, @andyminnis! There’s a T-shirt and Grapevine goodie bag waiting for you at our office (or coming to you in the mail).
