It’s Sunday, the final day of Iceland Airwaves. If you’ve been doing it right your body should feel like you have been physically assaulted by the festival. Even the festival designers have taken pity with their offensively soft colour choice for today’s schedule. Is it blue? Is it purple? It’s a little bit of both and it just looks like sleep to me. So instead of recommending who to see for the fourth, fifth, or sixth time this week, I’ve assembled a list of gentle activities to do in Reykjavík with your Sunday.

Visit to The Handknitting Association of Iceland
Skólavörðustígur 19
10:00-18:00
Because a pre-made lopapeysur takes up too much luggage space. Besides, what could be more gentle than wool from an Icelandic sheep?

Lagardalslaug
Sundlaugarveg
8:00-22:00
A swim and a steam.

“Nice Gentle Glacier Walk”
Stórhöfði 33
Tour times vary.
“We were given an ice axe but didn’t need to use it” -TripAdvisor reviewer Nicola S.

See a movie
Við Hagatorg
12:00- 1:00
All you have to do is sit there.
