There’s a new band on the block and its transporting intrepid listeners to the future by way of 1980s Russia and modern day Iceland, Germany and Norway.

Introducing Ultraflex…

Ultraflex is a collaboration between Norwegian musician Farao and Reykjavik’s own Katrín Helga Andrésdóttir—well known for her solo project Special-K and as a member of Reykjavíkurdætur. Their first album is set to be released later this year under the Berlin-based Street Pulse record label.

Today Ultraflex dropped its debut track Olympic Sweat, a synth-heavy dance track accompanied by an aerobics-inspired music video.

So get that old-school Soviet physique whilst enjoying Iceland’s freshest “futuristic boogie” offering:

Top tip – keep your eyes peeled for an interview with Katrín Helga Andrésdóttir about her solo project Special-K in our upcoming web issue.
