Delicia Mini – Skuggi

Published October 7, 2005

A Danish and Icelandic band, Delicia Mini present extremely catchy pop rock, in the better sense of the term. You want to sing along to the choruses, even if they don’t mean that much: “Don’t go back to pieces,/ but do go ahead” for example. (A lot of things go to “pieces” in the lyrics.) The outstanding guitar tone is matched with a range of well-produced instruments, the most memorable being Kristján Eggersson’s voice, which sounds as though it must stretch to get around the pop range, in an appealing, indie rock kind of way.
