NÚMER NÚLL

Published July 8, 2005

A pleasant new demo making the rounds, Númer Núll blend country with classic hard rock. The production value here is excellent, and the guitar work of frontman Gestur blends T Rex style riffs with wholesome southern rock chords well. In the second track, there are only three in this promising demo, the influence of the Pixies can be slightly obvious and jarring, as Gestur’s guitar work has to take too much of a backseat. The vocals also float a little high in the register and sometimes make the songs feel incomplete, but you still want to hear them again.
