WISTARIA

The journey of the Icelandic progressive, metalcore band WISTARIA started the year 2007. The band started with a promo album called ‘Beneath the Wistaria,’ which included five songs. Now, equipped with both a new singer and bass player, WISTARIA is  recording their first full-length album, which will hopefully be out later in 2013. The band has been very busy playing live at every possible event and are well recognized in the Icelandic metal scene. In the newspaper Morgunblaðið they were described as “so tight that water wouldn‘t run through it.” The most memorable gig in the band‘s history is when they won the Wacken Battle Of Bands, and performed in front of 3000 people on the wet stage. WISTERIA has opened for the globally recognized band Black Dahlia Murder and have played with most of the Icelandic metal bands including Severed Crotch, Beneath, Celestine, Changer, Dark Harvest, Palmprint in Blood, Embrace the Plague, Endless Dark, Darknote and many more. WISTARIA are known for their massive wall of distorted guitars, deep surge of screams, melodic and emotional solos, high-tempo double bass and blastbeats.
