Good Moon Deer

Good Moon Deer is an experimental electronic music project spearheaded by Guðmundur Ingi Úlfarsson. Along with drummer Ívar Pétur Kjartansson, they’ve been performing their music for about two years now. They reach out of the conventional music scene with the visual aspect of the band playing a big role in their work. The band chooses to rather perform at venues not specifically designed for music but rather galleries, shops and exhibitions. When they play the odd club gigs they really turn up the volume.
When asked to describe their band the members said: “It consists of a person playing on a computer and another playing drums. The person on the computer mainly writes the music, but has no real knowledge or background in music, but the one playing drums has been doing that his whole life.” The band strive for unconventional releases of their music, and visuals for that matter, and have for example made a html5 video to their first single ‘Blur’ which is up for viewing on their website, www.goodmoondeer.com.
