GKR, Húrra at 20:40 – You should def go see my homie GKR, he burst out on the Reykjavík music scene with quite a storm thanks to his super tenderness and emotional feels. Bngrboy, the hottest producer out there on the decks and GKR on the mic—you can’t go wrong with that.

Börn, Gamla bíó at 21:40 – I was really happy when Börn stepped onto the stage because they encapsulate the sound that I came to love the most about punk and post-punk—think Rudimentary Peni, Crass and vocals reminiscent of Siouxsie. It’s good stuff.

Æla, Gamla bíó at 23:20 – I could say the same thing about Æla, as they remind me of some good adolescent punk times—but in a more jerky, erratic way. Go take shrooms, jump around, and push some complacent hipsters in the audience!

Svartidauði, Gaukurinn at 00:20 – This is some heavyweight satanic shit, really caviar black metal. I like how the Icelandic metal scene has gotten a kind of avant-garde, psychedelic tinge to it. Those are maybe not the right words, but it’s definitely music to stare into the void to.
