Happening Tonight: Happy Birthday John Coltrane

Happening Tonight: Happy Birthday John Coltrane

Published September 11, 2016

On September 23, 1926 a young John Coltrane was welcomed into a small North Carolina town. Coltrane grew up to become one of the most influential jazz musicians in the history of the genre, a pioneer with a saxophone in his hand.

Tonight the Reykjavík Big Band pays tribute to John Coltrane in Harpa’s Kaldalón Hall. Don’t blow this one.

Show starts at 20:00. Admission 2,500 ISK.
