Happening Tonight: Intr0beatz’s Bumpy Sauna

Published September 2, 2016

When we interviewed Ársæll Þór Ingvason—AKA introbeatz—earlier this year, he was quick to give props to Paloma as “the only proper club in Reykjavík.” If you want a chance to see exactly what he meant by that, drop in tonight and tomorrow for Int0beatz’s Bumpy Sauna, a two-night event in Paloma’s basement room.

Intr0beatz is not the up-and-coming or the this-just-in DJ at the table. He’s been around the block, so to speak. From his early emergence as a member of the seminal Icelandic hip-hop group Forgotten Lores, to a solo DJ presence at Reykjavík most established night scenes, Ársæll knows how to make people move. His focus on hip-hop style beats that once spun around his name have in recent times shifted to a focus on house music, where he has (unsurprisingly) become a guru of the genre. Dip into Paloma to learn a thing or two from this wise guy. It just goes to show, you don’t have to be new to be fresh.

Intr0beatz’s Bumpy Sauna is at Paloma 3-4 September. For more information check out the Facebook event.
