American indie rock band Oh Malô is bringing their new album ‘As We Were’ to Iceland today at Loft Hostel, after releasing it to rave reviews in their hometown of Boston. The band’s website cites influences as wide-ranging as Bombay Bicycle Club, Jeff Buckley and Sigur Rós, which may explain why Reykjavík is the band’s only stop outside the United States on this tour. Their energetic blend of indie, pop and rock fuelled by tight arrangements and driving drums makes for perfect summertime dancing. Oh Malô plays the kind of music that will compel you to sing along to their songs, even if you don’t know any of the words.
