Looking for something dark? Black metal veterans Svartidauði have you covered. Their new 7″ EP “Hideous Silhouettes of Lynched Gods” came out on the 15th of April and it’s guaranteed to spook.

The EP contains 2 songs. The first, “Hellish Visions,” is new, and the inspiration for the title of the EP. The second, “Deathtrip,” was previously released on their 7″ split with Perdition from Chile. The lyrics on “Deathtrip” were inspired by the riots of 2009, so this being released in these weeks is particularly poignant in light of the recent protests surrounding the Prime Minister.

According to Sturla Viðar (remember him from our massive black metal piece a few issues back?), “This EP is the lost link between the ‘Temple of Deformation’ tape and ‘Flesh Cathedral.'”

Excited? You should be. The band has also announced a tour, titled “The Ghosts of the Charnel House” with Primordial and Ketzer. They’ll hit a ton of cities in Europe, from Paris to Budapest, so check ’em out if you’re in the neighborhood.
