The weekly KEXJazz show—held every Tuesday at 20:30—has been going strong since 2011, routinely filling KEX Hostel’s large bar area with the city’s cool cats. Organised by Sigurður Flosason, one of Iceland’s more decorated saxophone player, the series sees some 40 regular outfits come and play a free show for two hours. When our photographer Art showed up, the Reykjavík Swing Syndicate was in full swing.

Whether you are a bonafide jazz lover or just jazz-curious, check out KEXJazz on Tuesdays at 20:30. Admission is, and always has been, free.
