2015 is the centennial anniversary of women’s suffrage in Iceland, and numerous events have already been held to celebrate. One of these will be in Græni Hatturin. Cellist Ásdís Arnardóttir, pianist Helga Kvam, and singers Kristjana, Lara Sóley Jóhansdóttir and Þórhildur Örvarsdóttir will be hosting a show by women, showcasing women in music. Icelandic women are highlighted, with their songs, compositions and role in the growth of Icelandic music celebrated. Guest starts include musical women Lay Low, Agnes Erna and Elvy G. Hreinsdóttir.
