Vote For Icelandic Artists At The Nordic Music Video Awards!
York Underwood

On May 23, the Nordic Music Video Awards 2015 (NMVA) will take place in Oslo, Norway. The jury will be reviewing and choosing winners in the categories of Director, Cinematography, Edit, Art Direction, Post Production, Artist Performance and Performance.

There is also an Audience Award and you can sign up online and vote for your favourite artist. There are four Icelandic music videos in the Audience Award section: FM Belfast, Mammút (their video won the Icelandic Music Award), Páll Ivan frá Eiðum, and Uni Stefson.

Iceland is more than musicians. Icelandic directors, producers, cinematography, …etc are involved in many of the videos. Markéta Irglová’s video was made by Icelandic artists and Rúnar Ingi Einarsson directed Tove Stryke’s video.

Should art be judged using petty nationalism? Maybe not.

But, Imagine if Iceland won this and Eurovision on the same day,

Double Plus Good.
