Rauðasandur Hiatus 2015

Much to the disappointment of countless music fans, the Rauðasandur Festival will not be held again this year. Rauðasandur has been an annual fixture for the past four years, but two of those four had to be moved to a nearby indoor-site due to adverse weather. The festival is based at a remote farm in the West Fjords on a red beach that is both beautiful and secluded, but, unfortunately, uncooperative when it comes to wind and rain.

The festival organisers promise this is only a break, and even suggest they may hold an event or two closer to Reykjavík over the course of this year.
