Food is expensive, we know, but it’s also a requirement for life. So to help you, our loyal readers, out, we’ve compiled a list of the best food deals in town. This week, it’s one of our favourite gastropubs, Sæta Svínið, who serves up one of the most delectable and gooey meals around during happy hour.

Sæta Svínið

Dirty Fries – 1,390 ISK

With pulled lamb, jalapeño, chilli, bacon, cheddar cheese sauce & sriracha

Everyday from 15:00 – 18:00

If you like lamb, cheese, and potatoes—and seriously, who doesn’t—you have to stop by Sæta Svínið and try their dirty fries. Loaded up with meat, dairy, and a hit of spice due to a generous pour of jalapeño and sriracha, it’s definitely enough for three people, or perhaps five if you’re an aspiring actress. Pick one—or two, or five—up everyday from 15:00 to 18:00.

By the way: Sæta Svínið’s happy hour is already prolific. They offer every drink for 50% off, which means beers start at 645 ISK and wines from 745 ISK. Their cocktails are also 50% off, which means you can grab one of the most incredible cocktails in town for 1,195 to 1,245 ISK. They also offer chicken wings with blue cheese sauce for 1,190 ISK, if that’s more your jam.
