This year marks the seventeenth annual Reykjavík Pride celebration—a weeklong series of concerts, parties, performances, interactive events, and seminars all surrounding bi, lesbian, trans, gay, intersex, etc. themes and issues—all culminating in the parade. Come and see a celebration of all things LGBT+! Or, if you’re itching to be part of the queerest procession Iceland has to offer, sign up online by August 1. All participants are asked to show up at the starting point at 12:00 on Saturday, 8 August. The parade starts at 14:00 at Vatnsmýrarvegur, and ends at the stage at Arnarhóll.

The annual Reykjavík Pride is almost upon us, and there is a lot to look forward to. In addition to the parade itself, which sees up to 100,000 people gather to witness floats and marches, there are plenty of festivities going on throughout early August.
