Last night’s Sónar was amazing! Reykjavíkurdætur, Angel Haze, and dancing in SonarComplex made for an electric experience and a great start for the weekend.

In between shows, we caught up with a few festival goers lounging around Harpa and asked for their thoughts.

Margrét Aðalheiður

“Last year at Sónar I lay in bed with a 40°C fever, got up, went to the festival and had the best time of my life. Therefore I’m trying to get ill again so this Sónar can be just as sick.”

“I just came to Sónar to have fun, drink and dance.”

Helga Guðrún

“This is my first time at Sónar and I’m extremely excited to see Sevdaliza. I’ve been doing a lot of people-watching and I love all the different types of people. I usually just plan what I wear by how I feel and tonight my friend put lipgloss and glitter on my eyelids.”

Angel Haze completely blew my mind. This is what I love about Sónar, wandering around Harpa and stumbling upon something amazing. I had heard about Angel Haze, and although I never listened to her before, after seeing her live I have a major girl crush.”

Naima Aden

“I was exhausted after standing on my feet for five hours giving people their tickets but the people who got drunk and made new friends in the queue put a smile on our faces.”
