Three brave souls recently kayaked off of Iceland’s Goðafoss waterfall, for the second time, and the event was captured on video.

Þingeyjarsýsla news service 641 reports that the event occurred midday yesterday. Two of the kayakers went down the western falls, while the third opted for the significantly higher eastern falls.

Amazingly, this is not the first time this has happened, either. The same group pulled the same stunt about two years ago, and returned for a repeat performance.

Numerous tourists and Icelanders alike were on the scene to record the event, and 641 was amongst them. Below are the videos 641 shot of the event (Article continues after videos).

Kayaking, while not exactly recent to Iceland, is still not a sporting event many think of when it comes to things to do in the country. However, if you have the desire to try it out, you can so in Hvalfjörður, the Westfjords, and numerous other locations around the country. Don’t worry: you don’t have to kayak off a waterfall unless you really want to.
