Some people (read: sane people) might look at a snow and hail storm and think, maybe I should just take a nap, wait for this to blow over. But some look at it as an opportunity for vigorous exercise.

Coach Lárus Rúnar Grétarsson uploaded a film to YouTube yesterday showing the third division teams Fram and Fjölnir playing a game in extreme weather conditions. Despite the weather not a single player asked to cancel or stop the game.

“Only in Iceland would a game finish under these circumstances,” Lárus Rúnar told fotbolti.net. “We’re not just raising cotton wool kids here. There’s also tough guys of the old school growing up.”
