Strongman Hafþór Júlíus, known for his role as The Mountain in HBO’s Game of Thrones, has announced he will be starring opposite Jean Claude Van Damme in the upcoming Kickboxer: Retaliation.
In actuality, Kickboxer: Retaliation is the sequel to the as-yet unreleased reboot of the classic 1989 Kickboxer film, Kickboxer: Vengeance. Hollywood is clearly really confident about how the reboot will do, to order a sequel before the reboot is even released.
Filming for Kickboxer: Retaliation will begin later this year in Thailand immediately after Hafþór Júlíus competes in the 2016 World’s Strongest Man competition and Our House Films have confirmed that he will be Van Damme’s next fearsome foe.
