With the 2016 Sonar festival only four weeks away, the festival has released the final additions to the festival lineup.

If you’ve been reading about our 2016 music awards in the new issue, you’ll be pleased to see Tonik added the lineup. His 2015 album ‘Snapshots’ was selected as Iceland’s very best by our panel.

Moody electronic-pop romantics Vök return to the festival after first performing in 2014. DJ duo KSF and Óðinn from Icelandic techno label Thule Records will represent the local techno culture, playing alongside local experimental acts such as Ruxpin, Good Moon Deer and Futuregrapher. The Reykjavík DJ scene is also well-represented, with appearances from DJ Tommi White, Bensol, RVK DNB and Rix.

The festival will also see Sónar debuts from asdfgh, who were a surprise nomination for the recent Kraumur awards, and Kosmodod — a new solo project by Doddi, the programmer of Samaris’ fine pop music.

The festival takes place at Harpa from the 18th through the 20th of February 2016, and tickets are still on sale. For now.
