Neskaupstaður experienced a lot of rainfall and harsh winds last night, with the large crowd of metalheads attending this year’s Eistnaflug festival waking up in a soggy, sorry state. Because of this, festival organisers have decided that off-venue space Egilsbúð will be open for to visitors to sleep in, once shows at the site finish at 21:40 tonight.

Search and rescue services are on stand-by in the area, ready to provide assistance where needed.
