Duck Knocks On Door: Iceland Melts

Published June 2, 2015

An unnamed duck has been filmed knocking on the door of a Garðabær house to demand his piece of daily bread, something the duck has been doing for the last four years.

A quick summary: the duck knocks on the door, takes a little stroll around the house, and then walks outside. The owner then throws a few pieces of bread on the ground, which the duck then eats.

This seemingly simplistic video brings up a whole host of questions. As Mitch Hedberg once said, “I find a duck’s opinion of me is very much influenced by whether or not I have bread.”

Who knows what this duck would have done had it been given no bread?

More importantly, considering the wealth of duck names out there (Donald anyone?) it seems strange that this videographer has failed to name him. The Grapevine poses this challenge to the resident: give this duck a name, or we will.
