Retirement Home Cat Breaks Leg

Published February 24, 2014

Valdimar, a retirement home resident and full time cat broke his leg recently and has been in rehabilitation for his injury alongside the other residents, reports Vísir.

Valdimar was adopted from the animal rescue shelter Kattholt two years ago and has been residing at Hrafnista retirement home, in department seven, ever since.

Valdimar is said to keep the residents young at heart as they ensure he always has plenty to eat and fret over making sure he comes home safely each evening.

“That Valdimar is just an awesome cat and the old folks’ [lives] revolve around him. He is so cuddly and good natured,” said Dagný Ingólfsdóttir, an employee at the home.

Unfortunately Valdimar recently broke his leg. To help him bounce back, Valdimar was put into physical rehabilitation and is now back to his usual self having finally been set free from the cumbersome leg brace.
