New Chairwoman Elected To Association Of Business Women

Þórdís Lóa Þórhallsdóttir was elected the new chairwoman of the Association of Business Women in Iceland (FKA) yesterday, Mbl reports.
Þórdís, who is an investor and the owner and CEO of Pizza Hut Iceland, was elected for a two-year term and will be launching an initiative for women in media. The four-year project aims to increase the number of women in local media as well as their visibility in the fields of news and public debate. The project will run until 2017.
The outgoing chairwoman is World Class Gym Manager Hafdís Jónsdóttir, who held the chair for four years.
