The Icelandic software company Clara was sold to the US company Jive Software Inc. for over a billion ISK, DV Reports.

Founded in 2008, Clara won second place in the entrepreneurial competition Gulleggið and developed tools to analyse trends on social media sites for market research.
Jive has not yet issued a press release about the acquisition, but will likely integrate Clara’s products directly into their product line as Jive provides social media solutions for businesses. Jive is valued at over a billion USD and competes with large companies such as IBM and Microsoft.
