From Iceland — Are You Happy Now?

Are You Happy Now?

Published March 20, 2013

Today is the first annual international Day of Happiness, thus proclaimed by the United Nations (UN) last July to be held every 20th of March from now on.
According to the UN, the day aims to recognize “the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives.”
So, are you making a concerted effort to be extra happy today? I, for one, am grinning like a raving lunatic whilst typing this little article because I heard once that smiles are contagious. So, I’m both acting happy and virally spreading happiness on the first ever International Day of Happiness.
If your happiness needs a fluffer, here are some adorable pictures of puppies and, if it’s your thing, kittens.
Happy Happiness Day!
