Published February 21, 2013

The Icelandic Music Awards went down last night at Harpa, with awards being doled out to a wide range of artists. The biggest winners of the night were Retro Stefson, taking home 3 awards, and Ásgeir Trausti, who collected 4 statues.
Retro Stefson took home accolades for Song of the Year, and Music Video of the Year for their hit ‘Glow’, and were named Performers of the Year, as well. Ásgeir Trausti got a nod for Album of the year for “Dýrð í dauðaþögn”, was named the Brightest Hope (most likely to succeed), and was acknowledged as being voted a fan favourite on Tónlist.is, and generating the greatest online sales.
The full list of nominees and winners can be seen on the awards website.
