Icelandair Buys 16 New Planes

Icelandair has completed a purchase of 16 Boeing 737 Max 8 and 737 Max 9 aircraft, Vísir is reporting. Icelandair had submitted its letter of intent to purchase the new plane in December and has now finalized the agreement, increasing the number of aircraft purchased from 12 to 16 for a total cost of 204 billion ISK, according to Boeing’s price list, though the amount paid by Icelandair has not been revealed.
The first of the newly acquired planes will join Icelandair’s fleet early in 2018.
